This morning, Caroline and I went to the outskirts of Accra to look at some local clothing (not a trip to be undertaken lightly), and we passed through some of the poorest areas of Accra. They teem with people, all intent on surviving.

We came home mid afternoon, as the rains started. There was nothing much on TV, so Caroline put on some music. There we were, sitting in a room in Accra Ghana, listening to J S Bach's Der Geist hilft unser Schwachheit auf and Allegri's Miserere mei Deus (Psalm 51 - or Psalm 50 in the Vulgate).

An African slum this morning, and the voices of angels this afternoon. Surreal.

I find life so confusing, so disturbing.
